Simply put, Sgt. Grader's English was incomprehensible. In part it was this attribute that earned him so many adversaries who, behind his back would call him unfit or dumb. Only I didn't buy the dumb explanation. Sgt. Grader's military career didn't correspond with dumb. He had shot up the enlisted ranks to Master Sergeant after just 14 years. For me, that alone earned a distanced respect and perhaps it was for this reason that I was able to overlook his shortcomings. Sports has a tendency to bond people and despite him being a good 15 years my senior that was the case with us. Our sport, body building; I'd regularly see him at the base gym where we would give each other a spot etc. Now his tour of duty drawing to an end, he went on to share his life philosophy with me between reps on the bench press, his favorite.
'Ahhh! Ya know Rich!' he paused for a second before the next rep, 'life is like' next rep pushing up, 'ahhh! ah dick!' the weights in the upright position his arms locked he looked at me, 'sometimes it hard! an sometimes it dooo!'
Dumbfounded I replied, 'Gee ah, I never thought a that.'

You forgot the end. Also you wrote sometimes it hard, meaning sometimes it's, you forgot the 's.
