Going down the dark road
Of my sin
Kicking cold turkey and
Drawn into the luring
Sweetness
Sticky, with
A bitter aftertaste
The tar of evil
I can't push through
To grab the hand
Of my savior
Thick black fog
Glues my eyes shut
I have control of my life
Like a cat's cradle
I got tangled up in
Satan's puppet
Instead god's child
Father help me
Take my strings again
I'm sorry I cut them
Mt Zion's so far
Out of reach
But flames lick over
My feet
Father heal me
Break my backbone
Mend my wings again
So I can soar
On spirit
With you
