Benny and Joon knew that the day after tomorrow they would be leaving Las Vegas. He'd first seen her performing a striptease at a club called Mermaids in Chinatown. It was open from dusk til dawn and he'd gone there on a friends bachelor party. She had been using a different identity and called herself Betty Blue. She was a very pretty woman and seemed quite alien in this animal factory.
'She's all that,' Benny thought. 'Bring it on. I know what women want, I'm no loser.' He tried to make contact with her but the signs weren't good.
28 days later he went back and managed to get backstage, but he took a wrong turn through some sliding doors and ended up in an alley. He saw 12 angry men in a ring beating up some bandits.
'There's gonna be big trouble in Little China tonight,' he thought.
He walked back onto Green Street and saw Joon dressed to kill. He tried making her a proposition but it got lost in translation. They went to The Village Diner and had some American pie. Later that night they ended up in a phone booth where she felt his private parts and got his chopper out.
'Will you stand by me?' she asked
'Yes, if we can have our honeymoon in Vegas.'
It was like rush hour in the chapel, but straight after Muriel's wedding they became Mr and Mrs Smith. As they exchanged vows Benny thought, 'It's a wonderful life.'
