hey!
I know the introduction is late!..I thought the intro should be beyond a mere hi or hello....and therefore it should be posted after you folks know me....and i think a handfull of you do know me so....here it is
My intrests:
Reading and writing. I am a published writer and don't have any better way of spending time then read. Keep a check on politics and sports(esp cricket), play chess( not a chess master yet) , study psychology and Govt and politics, wanna do research in astronomy( if times have it) and reform my country.
Ok the reforming part. The only reason for entering MM was to figure out what people think and to venture to change the thinking if requiored, or atleast try giving an opposing viewpoint. Its going smooth but MM is different from the usual bunch. People are'nt intolerant and don't snub each other, good for me. I have a bunch of freinds but the jihad isn't there!
I belive in revolution. Pakistan needs a revolution , to change the way people think. Its the attitude which is faulty. Small minded rich people stop others from progressing, who either remain in the dirt they were born in or else direct their energy against the soceity. Become criminals or fanatics. And above all , the rich and the poor, use religion to justify their actions. They start running after an unseen paradice and beglect the very country they live in. We need to wake up. Along with the basic tools of education , english and urdu language, teachers , books and schools, we need to instill the thirst for knowledge. The ability to question and then search the answers. We need to teach our people to think rationally and not romantically. Emotions should'nt hinder logic. Plus, since i am being trained as a psychologist, i feel our nation is misdirected. It's depressed and hopeless. We demand too much from ourselves and our loved ones and in the process we tart becoming donkeys! ( literaly). We want money, a handsome husband with a good job, a preety wife from a wealthy family, atleast one son, who should then have a good career and so on. Why can't we just sit back and relax and let life take us where it has to. And why try getting a job when we know that there is scope in research and arts and science. Why not become another Thomas Alva Edison, Marie Curie or Edward Jennings? Does ,mankind not owe them its well being. They are far greater then any CEO or general practitioner!

To do it on a large scale would demand alot of energy, dedication and ofcourse time. But doing it on a personal level is also equally important and usefull. Can't dedicate your life to quantum mechanics or microbiology?
Well atleast provide the means for someone else to do so.
Or atleast help your people to come out of the petty things like dowry and bribery and become more civilized.
