He wakes up before the sun
wishing he could stay
amongst the warmth of his bed
The lady beside him still in dreamland
though he may not know
the real reason why he goes
through the worst of the storm's
he has what most people want
a family tom stand by him
in all the way's he need's
the wife and the child
looking up to him with pride
for he is the man
with the courage to try
day after day
to fulfill his families dreams

You've done it again, expressed a slice of real life, though in my case it's my wife who now is the one who goes out to fulfill her dreams.

oo very nice. i like the ending of this too. it gave me a sense of hope. with the tackling one thing at a time. kinda the feeling of trucking along and getting things acomplised. nice.
Great ending. I really think it's true in teh fact that the man always wants to be the breadwinner, and always likes to know that he is the one that people look up to. You've capture it well.
