Switchblade Embrace (Living/Dead Dilemma)

Oh surprise, what a common surprise..
I decided to close my spiritual eyes
For a short time. What's even worse,
I put on the old nature that's endlessly cursed, called in sick-minded
And postponed the hearse.

I put down the nails and neglected the hammer
for a ballroom dance with such gruesome glamour
For a short time, I was undead.
Allowed poison lips to caress my head, aware of the danger,
but indulged instead.

Realize, now what I need
Expose the scars, make "old me" bleed
For a long time(,/.) I broke apart.
Confirmed the blood transfusion must start. Suddenly
Felt life rush to my heart.

Now die. Goodbye. Farewell.
Sharp Truth amputated me from the spell. Go back,
Deception. Back to Hell!

Jubilee crushes the groaner
My new Love is my sword and blood donor.

Christ is my murderer and my healer.

Beautiful, describing that which you can imagine the living dead going through when brought back to the realm of the living, very eloquently put in an unconventional way.

Congrats xXx

It was really unique and a very different portrayal of something that a lot of people write about, which gives it this personality that gives that subject new light and colors. great job with this.

Wow, I didn't think that this was filled with "angst" or mindlessness. I must be angst-filled and mindless.
I enjoy this poem. The ranting feeling is nice, as it conveys the urgency of your words.

Wow, you do great rants. Mindless, but interesting.

Fascinating rhyming scale in this poem. A bit choppy, but it suits the feeling. I don't *get* it, and I'm kind of over angst but who cares? I like the phrases.
