The Scar
The scar that goes with you
wherever you go.
The mark of a struggle
most people don't know.
A badge you must wear
and carry around
from a battle you fought
on spiritual ground.
Its presence reminds you
of a much harder day.
You'll make it, no matter
what stands in your way.
You are a survivor!
You've done it before!
Satan carries no power
over you any more.
He's taken his shots,
you're still standing strong.
You laughed in his face
and yelled, 'Move along!'
The wound is now healed,
a scar in its place.
Strength you can draw
for challenges you face.
As it quietly fades
a little more every day,
You wish it were gone,
yet hope it will stay.
The symbol of a journey
not chosen to take,
A reminder God's love
will never forsake.

| Beautifully written and so very true. You have a great voice. |

| Not to regress/repress to those mistakes of past, but to observe them to appreciate that you've made it through that soleley, because of God's grace. Scars tell true stories, my friend. To learn through struggle, a key to a productive life. I truly enjoyed it. |
