Suns Way

A sound is heard amidst the dew of morn'

soft, unlike the sounding of horns.

A majestic song, lullabye true

The butterflies sing as they dance out of veiw.

Hidden, safely tucked away

Protected by the light of day.

Wings, translucent, sprout anew

Colors here of every hue.

Antennae unfurl and skin does decay

and bodies shift shape and form a new way.

Now the sun comes up- transformations end

And butterflies sing where children have been

this piece makes me think of how my 4 year old son views things around him.
