As I look across this black sea
Screaming with violent agony
The sunrise is so far away
From this society of faded faces and blood-flecked memories
A home where golden life used to breathe and flourish like a warm smile
How long before this world of flickering lights and smoking sidewalks
Shatters the music of loyalty and romance
Into shards of cobwebbed flower petals?
It's like this one dusty window that's yellowed and scratched
In the middle of a darkened hallway, with old candles burnt out
Breathing golden flourishing life
Into the spidery corners of broken hearts.

I love your last stanza, it is really just beautiful. It read through it so fast because it just flowed so I read it again like three times and it was beautiful each time.
