Dreamland

As the sky grows dark and it becomes nite,

As you say your prayers and you turn out the light,

You climb in your bed,

You lay down your head.

When you close your eyes and go to sleep,

While your body is resting, your thoughts grow deep.

You enter the land of dreams,

There nothing is as it seems.

It is there where possibilies never end.

You could battle a villian or make a new friend.

Save the world, stop a war.

Dreams will often open new doors.

But in dreams you can sometimes be scared or alone,

That's when you're glad to wake up and be back home.

I like ryhme and most of this is good, maybe its my accent but 'war' doesn't work with 'doors' for me. In the first line it should be night not nite I think. A nice poem that is simple and effective, I was drawn in by the intriguing title.
