Best Friend

* this is a story i wrote back in high school, in my creative writing class, the assignment was that we were supposed to describe our best friend.

I am a brave knight who must rescue a fair maiden from an evil wizard. Now I am a rugged cowboy racing across the scorching prarie, with the law hot on my trail. And now I am a cute adorable little puppy, whom everyone loves. I am whoever you want me to be. I can look, sound, and act anyway you want me to if you choose me as a friend. There is one small catch though. No one else can see me. I am an imaginary friend.

Don't let that bother you though. I assure you I'm still really fun. Why, just yesterday I went to the zoo with a girl named Janie. A lion escaped from his cage and chased us all around the zoo. Finally I captured the lion and tamed him.

A week ago I was this girl Karla's date to the dance. She was sad because she thought no one would go with her so I came to the rescue. We went together and danced all nite. It was lots of fun.

So you see, I really am a great person to spend time with. Anytime you'd like to hang out, just let me know.

Great idea, very creative twist on the assignment. I like the subtle sense of sadness you conveyed.
