After The Storm

there beyond my horizon

a sphere of brilliance

arched wings of filament

comforting the heavens

specter of blue

billowing caress

cradle of heaven

teasing the sky

distantly enchanting

recklessly enticing

samba till dusk

tango with dawn

a  love affair has begun

in the twilight of the moon

swirling till

the break of day

'samba till dusk, tango with dawn' fantastic lines! this is very moving in many ways Joni. it's been ages since I last had a dance like this, and reading your poem is calling to these hips! love it!

The references to dance are perfect for this piece i think. great flow, very graceful in its wording.. you were obediant and faithful to your theme every which way. great write.

This was lovely Joni, It had an open quality and I love the Latin music and dancing elements portrayed in a mix with heaven. It is almost as if the angels are dancing. - Leah

Thanks for the wonderful comments. I'm not very wordy and I prefer to stand back in awe of the horizon. I'd prefer to have my readers fill in the gaps of the distant love affair after the storm. I leave your mind open to your suggestions. I'm open for a better definition though. Thanks Collin for your expectation of a thrill. I simply write my minds eye with my senses and sometimes I purposely don't define too much. I prefer to paint the picture and have the readers interpret their own landscape or canvass so to speak. Thanks guys. I love that you guys like to tango, and walt.

A meditative piece that reads with a playful and waltzy style. Now I know you love dance!

This line is lovely: 'samba till dusk, tango with dawn.' Very stylish!
