Betty the cat always wore a hat

she wore it to school, and wore it back home

she wore it to church, and wore it so long

she washed her hat and put it on her head

wearing her "wet" hat was worth being dead

betty played with the hat and slept with the hat

never took it off

betty played with the other cats

 always with other cats and always wearing a hat

oneday betty washed her hat and left to play with the other cats

"betty where is your hat," said one of the cats

"i almost forgot, i am getting it washed"

betty ran to get her hat but didn't find her hat

maybe it was stolen by one of those cats

betty looked and looked bbut didn't find anything

mad as can be, betty turned green

"where is my hat? where are those cats?"

"this isn't fair, how could they dare?"

betty didn't find her hat and never played with those cats

betty the cat didn't have a hat

now she was just a cat without a hat

 betty's hat was taped to her back

a trick played by those other cats!
