Dread

It freezes your heart
Until it becomes stone
It cuts deep and hard
Straight to the bone

Without any omen
Without knowing why
It strikes suddenly
like a bolt from the sky

To know that somthings wrong
but not really knowing what
Eyes dart every direction
soul sinks into a rut

What you find is never close to
what you hope to see
And what you think is worse
then what ever comes to be

It flows really well and I think that you really capture the essence of dread . Well done! Here are a few edit suggestions.

"somthings wrong"--something's wrong, or, something is wrong. Also, "what ever" should be whatever--one word
