I saw a reflection
riples made the encounter new
I introduced
he mocked

I saw you again today
still you give
only blank stares
why cant we be friends

Your bleeding today
I didnt mean to hurt you
I'll try not to do it again
but you know I probably will

After yesterday
I understand your hesitation
can it be that we find
some soft middle ground

I know you hate me
I hate you too
maybe today somehow
we can work this out

I'm trying not to blame you
I do all the talking
Divorce isn't an option
your obviously stuck here

I'm sorry that my skin
is torn all over again
It's your fault this time
I guess it always was

You know we need to find
a better way to cope
you need to start talking
we are running out of time

I think I'm leaving
no more visits at all
you don't try to fix us
I'm working all alone

It's been a month now
Since we last spoke
I guess your still mad
For all the times I cut

You seem to want me
to dive in with you
I guess I could try
I know I wont want to leave

Interesting as a conversation piece. I like poets who put themselves into the picture and write outside the box. Mirrors are great advocates.
Thanks

This poem was written as 'me' talking to my reflection.

digging on your picture. Here is the plain fact: when you want them, they don't want you. When they want you, you do not want them even in marriage sometimes. Not that I have ever been married but I have just found this to be true, without emperical evidence. I hope that the bleeding part was a play on words. I hope everything turned out for the best.
