Joey was crying because his mommy wasnt coming home.

Jane was crying because her daddy wasnt coming home.

Jennifer was crying because her husband wasnt coming home

A nation was crying because its sons and daughters were gone.



Oh, what a beautiful morning it was, how clear, how crisp.

The birds were chirping merrily, and kids were laughing gaily.



And all around this nation, people were driving, people were flying.

Oh, what a beautiful morning it was.

As we all went to work, kissing our loved ones goodbye, some, for the very last time.

We smiled, we honk, but we had the innocence of a child.





And then they came from the skies, and made our dreams demise.

And then they came from the skies, and caught our nation surprised.

And then they took our dreams away and our loved ones as well, but left our pride and values intact.





And then we cried, and then we wept, because our hearts were broken that day.

And then we looked to the skies, and asked why, but all we saw were clouds of black smoke bellowing up high.



And then we made a solemn oath never to forget, never to let go.

And then we made a solemn oath, to rebuild our city, in memory of them all.







Dedicated in loving memory to all those who died on September 11th 2001, and their families.
