This is Nowhere
You hear nothing, see nothing, know nothing
Floating loosely, passing through endless time
You are lost and can no longer see the path
A whisper swims through the waves and asks:
Don't you know? This is nowhere.
Do you remember how you got here?
Or is that memory slithering slowly away . . .
Do you not recall the images of a former reality?
Of shadowy rites and candle lit halls?
Of mourning masses and tear soaked pews?
Do you not recall the tragedies, pain, or fear?
And slipping away into eternal darkness?

Hi. An altered kind of awareness--on some sort of subliminal brain wave--an altered consciousness, maybe even peaceful.
I really like your "picture." That's what drew me to your writing. |

An interesting interpretation of what I presume is an altered state of consciousness. I like the line "A whisper swims through the waves and asks:
Don't you know?" |

Once I had been a star fish,
with more arms than any spiral nebula
could count, and I swam among them
stars, engulfing suns and planets too
with amoebic inevitability, . . .
and with a swish of my tail, bam! off
to a new cosmos! |
