Kidnapped

Hidden claws beneath satin gloves
luring and coaxing me into His hold.
I'm kidnapped;
Indpendence gone
My I in chains;
The Thief revels in His prize.
My I is now We.
That word, so once desired
Now encompasses my feared Kidnapper.
Our struggle lingers on
as I gnaw at the binding shackels;
only the pain quiets my teeth

Slowly, my Kidnapper wraps the wounds;
conformity is now for me (...We)

This was an interesting piece. I enjoyed reading it. These are some very challenging emotions conveyed in an interesting presentation. Well done. Blessings.

"Small Voices, Big Confessions"

by James Meredith

Can you hear them? Theyâ??re everywhere. Voices that canâ??t be contained by the boxes around our work, our homes, our families. Voices that shine through the cracks in our everyday lives. Voices with tales to tell.
