the microcosm of mistake

the lie of the line is an idea we hold to
though nature escapes arbitrary boundaries
there is many a stupid idea that we fold to
our heads are truly unreliable foundries
to think the truth of order puts chaos to bed
to dream that a dictionary explains the world
is to try to shrink the universe to fit in a head
we look for cosy wombs of answer like a foetus curled
why, when we design mazes to map the path of the mind,
do we think simiplicity is going to answer the question?
experience should see this lazy thinking undermined
but stupidity seems to flower at the merest suggestion

Not me, I actually like questions much better than answers. I guess that's why I'm so drawn to theosophy and philosophy.

Paring down the adjoining words a bit might make it fit the term 'poem' better, but then that is entirely a matter of choice.
