My heart hurts as
my head thinks about her.
Which "her" exactly
depends on the moment of time
during the day
when I'm longing for either
the one I loved and lost
or the love that's losing me.

The latter of the two
make my eyes swell
because I miss her
more than anything.
You could say
without doubt
that she was
my world.

Mentor
sister
never a lover.
She was an angel.
She is an angel.
Why does that angel
have other charges?
I need more of her
angelic advice.

I've never been sure
about the way I feel
but I know the difference
between a sisterly love
and that of a sexual bond.
Love her
or lover;
it doesn't really matter
as long as love is involved.
