Gladiator

Echo through history,
Their cheers,
Presently bring out
The warriors of time.

Faces set, braced,
For careless losses.
Bloodthirsty men,
Defeating fear, defying pain.

Again one falls, smitten,
Encore! Encore!
The parched earth, its thirst quenched,
It is now time to leave.

Of few that do so,
Awaits them,
Encore! Encore!
Braced, so the next day.

"Small Voices, Big Confessions"

by James Meredith

Can you hear them? Theyâ??re everywhere. Voices that canâ??t be contained by the boxes around our work, our homes, our families. Voices that shine through the cracks in our everyday lives. Voices with tales to tell.
