Who am I to you?
Tell me again.
Delicious rapture and it's not about emotion.
Throw yourself at my feet,

Remember what you want?
Let me tell you what you want to hear
You're using me as much as I'm using you.

Remember what you need?
Work for it.
Tell me again.

Who needs truth?
Be honest with yourself,
It's not sadistic,
It's power.

Liked your poem, a good strong message, a shame many of us aren't honest ourselves

I think this is a very strong poem. It is about power and it houses a lot of power, even with it's short delivery. I see someone who has had to change their state of mind in hopes of not being trampled over anymore. Someone who has seen life as it is, and refuses to be a victim any longer. Someone who has extracted their emotions out of a difficult equation so that he/she gets what he/she wants w/o getting hurt.

And I think this depicts power and pain and determination and will-power really well. I feel the vulnerability. Well written!

Strong words and great honesty. "Youâ??re using me as much as Iâ??m using you." Love this line, but the question begs to be asked: who is using whom for what? Nice work, Roisin.

Is it power? I see hurt. Reject before being rejected. It does feel good to feel like we hold the power. I have learned though we really never have as much power as we think we do. This is a very strong poem and your anger comes out load and clear. -Good job.
