Fire in the Embers

Fire in the Embers

Fire in the embers are in your hand
Flesh and blood can kill a man
So what do you do until the messiah comes,
bend down and learn to love
It's a marvellous work and wonder
of the human mind to comprehend
these tragic times.
For those who still can love
There is a place in the woods
where beauty still is good.
A thousands blossoms in the grove
follow your footsteps where the sun goes.
It's not a reflection on you and me
that I see these things.
Yes, remember those caves of steel
that I grasp and I can feel,
Oh bypass my ancient memory
and bury them in a deep cemetery,
so their never again seen in my lifetime,
until earth is destroyed and past bells chime
