what are words?

i realized, subtly ain't the key. hand a boy a box of subtle and he'll just look confused. he won't even try to open it, just assume the box is the gift, not what's in it. so fuck that. new tactic. phonetic spelling and all. clear like ice but not so cold. i just need to know. but even that is failure in delivery. was i speaking ebonics? an obscure dialect of Setswana? no, i think not. everybody's got a filter and some people don't clean theirs too often. so what i'll get in return is some mish-mash, slap-dash, vague catch all phrase that really means nothing to me at all. oh, but what are words? well sometimes nothing, but sometimes, my friend, a word is everything. it is a knife, a bandaid, a blanket, a little zap of connection between two globes. but if withheld, if twisted, misused, abused and confused, a word not said can be the drop of anti-matter that can destroy entire orbits.

shattered.

i don't know if you can fix that with glue.

Interesting. I liked reading the stream-of-consciousness flow. One question though: Where you have subtly were you going for subtlety?
