Non-existent in Our Existence

I am absent
I am nothing
I am whole
I am lost
I am everywhere you do not look
I am what you bleed for
I am what you fight and die for
I am what you seek
I am what you pray for
I am never present when you think
Or when you speak
I can not be felt
I can not be conceived
I am what you sense when you are alone
I am stagnant
I will not come as long as you exsist
I will drain you of all emotion and desire
When the time is right
I am the void
I am peace

Reads almost like a riddle, which is very effective. Also love the contradictions and the 'Non-existant' in the title juxtaposed with the repetition of 'I am'.

Very assertive lines - the emphasis on "I am" makes this so universal. Written by one and BY EVERYONE. Well done.

This poem is excellent. Full of contradiction of the opposites that occur in life. A very vibrant piece.

Initially a simple concept, but soon it becomes an intricate riddle which continuously encapsulates a new meaning revolving around your inner emotions. Its as if you have poured your soul into a bucket and let the contents flow onto the page.
