an unwitting step towards suicide

as they lay in bed and gobble shrimp
all he could see was the face of her pimp
and the image made him irretrievably limp
this and other things in his head in conjunction
and his first experience of erectile dysfunction
brought out in him a strange compunction
to work out his anger on this malleable flesh
he hated her for being so available and fresh
he got a grip on his anger and made a fist
and punched her face until she pissed
the bed in fright and tried to scream through blood
and he came pathetically helped by the stinking flood
he had forgotten the earlier talk of him as her saviour
this was the first step towards differently patterned behaviour
he wiped himself on the sheet and left her crying
smiling to himself unaware that part of him was dying

This is a true horror story, shocking, bloody and brutal. I think I'd say your main character was already dead. Sad tale, brave of you to tell it. Well crafted and told in your strong voice as always.
