The Coffee Shop
Coffee shop hipsters
Blazers, politics, inside jokes
Smug, semi-slouched posture
Ultra-obscure jazz
Cynicism, irony, sarcasm
And more of the most overused expressions
In hip American culture
Impossible tasks and issues
For discussion, not action
Almost political
Too shy to declare a political stance
Actions are excused
On the premise of some vague, social caffeine addiction

Just so long as it's not Starbucks. ;-)
Nice poem. Short, to the point and quite telling... we Americans like our expensive java. Me, on the other hand, I'm one of those poor folks that can't afford four dollar coffees. Hehe. Nice stuff, man. Keep it up. |

| Mm, coffee shops. I think you hit the idea of coffee shops pretty well. I like it. |
