Rising One Love
Sunset sweetness
Tender love shining helpless,
Constant under the wings
Of the One Great Heart.
Swing carefree
Through the wind's
Timeless labyrinth.
Sculpt a castle with faith,
Rooted in spirited elevation.
Knowing journies of tribulation,
Understanding misbehaven truths.
Gifted wisdom smiles timeless
On the eternal sun rising
Rising One Love
Rising One Love

Colin, first of all - thank you very much for your input - it is definitely noted.
"Why is the love helpless? Has it been deprived of strength or power?"
- this was written around a very unique situation. if you read funkylele's story called 'the truth divine' you might understand a little more. i was the 'kimmy' in that story. sometimes there can be tremendous strength in helplessness and vulnerability.
your questions are valid, but that is poetry, non? this is open to interpretation, and i'm curious to see how you interpreted it with your own creative mind.
By the way... nothing was casually dropped into this poem *wink*

I found the start of the poem unclear, which spoilt my understanding of the rest of the piece:
Tender love shining helpless,
Constant under the wings
Why is the love helpless? Has it been deprived of strength or power?- unlikely considering is shines so strong.
When you say 'constant', what is the measure of this constancy. i.e. what is the quality that remains constant? Love's ability to shine? What is this shining anyway?
My problem here is that words have been too casually dropped into this poem without explanation. You hint at so much redeeming factors and beautiful images hee, but none of them are elaborated on beyond the initial allusion. |
