Normal For Me

What have I become?
Where did I go?
What's the matter with me;
Doesn't anyone know?

Tossing and turning,
I can't get any sleep.
But hey,
Don't you worry.
This is normal
For me.

Normal for me
To be lost in the dark.
Wanting to escape,
Unable to start.

So forgive me if I'm distant,
These times are tough, you see.
Nothing here is normal.
Not for anyone,
Not even me.

Was this written during high waves of teenage angst. It seems very touch and go (emotionally). Either a clinically depressed person on lots of meds, or a teenager.

You represent the sense of turmoil here very well. The little ones that nag us each day. :)

you put the 'a' in angst :-P

The triplette of 'n' words at the end orks rhythmically very nicely. it seems almost separate however from the rest of the piece.

thanks for the read.
