Unspoken Misery

Strings and barriers so high
Sealing me in darkness; but I strive.
Deep within, this feeling of helplessness can't help but rise
Let me beat, let me breathe my heart cries.

What are the reasons for these tags to come my way?
For one sign of hope my heart craves.
Is there no one who would love me the way I am
One to look beyond and not care about the rules of the game.

Questions and some more, that's all love has ever been
Life seems livable only in pleasant dreams.
Only hope promising halcyon days and end of my unspoken misery.
For some day she will come along and set me free.
