Just One Please

All that I want
Is one person
One person who I love
And who loves me back
One person
Who is there when I need them
But gives me space when I don't
One person to whom I can tell
Everything I've been too ashamed to let people know
One person
Whose words mean something
And not nothing
All I need is one person
That's all.

This is a cool poem. The topic is pretty wide spread, meaning im sure everyone has felt like that to a certain extent at some point

Michelle, it would be a much better world if everyone thought as simply as you've expressed it here. I feel very comfortable with your thought because deep inside I wish for the same.

Wow.. your honestly and vulnerability in this is inspiring. You write little hopes that dwell in many hearts often untold.

This reminded me of that old anthem about "one voice singing in the darkness". The repetition, as already commented, serves this piece well, Michelle. But by constantly pleading for the one person, are we ignoring the people we already have in our lives?
