The Struggle of the Human Soul
How not to lose one's identity
Wish I had the answer
Trying to stay afloat
amidst the ongoing madness
Searching, searching...
For something never to be grasped fully
Trying to contain something uncontainable
Searching for something everlasting in a world full of endings
Attempting to comprehend something incomprehensible
Only to reach a point of understanding
that is not enough to satisfy the thirst
of the Human Soul
Learning to live in a world
where full satisfaction cannot be achieved
leaves the Human Soul panting and gulping
for the air he wishes to extinguish his very existence

| I know now why I can't write poetry. It takes to much truth and introspection. Fiction is all about the sweet entrancing lies. This is wonderful. You've definetly got the gift. God bless. |

VERY POWERFUL PIECE!! I was a bit surprised at the ending and that is why I enjoyed it most. The struggles we face day to day can be a bit overwelming at times and an emotional person may find it easier just to end life altogether.
The Tao Te Ching verse 9 says:
Fill your bowl to the brim
and it will spill.
Keep sharpening your knife
and it will blunt.
Chase after money and security
and your heart will never unclench.
Care about people's approval
and you will be their prisoner.
Do your work, then step back.
The only path to serenity.
Thanks for the GREAT read! |

"How not to lose one's identity
Wish I had the answer"
I know the answer:
Actually, the idea of individuality is a false notion, and misleading for people to be idealistically individual. The ultimate evolution for man will be for everyone to be one. You may say that I'm a dreamer, but you see, most people in society, Western society value being somehow separate and individual, when they are missing the very point of mankind's destiny, that we will live this world as one. We are dividing ourselves in our individuality. We should be connecting to each other not on the bases for being different, but to love each other unconditionally so our love is for the greater good of being one so that our love is equal to the love we make, to the love we take. Love transcends all dividing hate, dislike and scorn. Love is not an ideal for us to live by ourselves, our individuality, but a concept by which share, to share as one. :) |
