An Apology

I'm sorry for apologising.
I know it isn't what you want to hear,
but for now
it's what I need to say.

I'm sorry that
again
all I have to offer
are useless,
senseless words
that change nothing.
I'm sorry I don't
have more to give.

I'm sorry that I choked
when I said I loved you.
It wasn't that I didn't mean it.

I'm sorry that tonight
you'll fall asleep
to the sounds of my restless discomfort
- that you haven't caused
and can't alleviate.

I'm sorry that tomorrow
you will wake
and find me
lying beside you,
still broken.

Everything I could write has been written. To word this in such a small amount of words with such power is incredible. The last stanza could be a poem itself. You are very talented. I look forward to reading more from you.

It's a wonderful poem. You are a great writer and I am sure that you will write many more poems that leave me stunned.

Wonderful, I agree with RoadPoet Stevie, the last lines are very powerful. Another beautiful piece of writing.
