GOSSAMER WINGS.
I blew some kisses into the air and they turned into a breeze,
And danced on soft gossamer wings hovering there with ease.
It fluttered gleefully about while always smiling down at me,
'Please take my kisses to my dear love wherever she may be'
She blissfully fluttered off and soon disappeared out of sight,
Flying over lush green meadows in the glowing evening light.
Flowers smiled happily and gave forth their beautiful aromas,
Until the breeze was saturated with gardenias and begonias.
She played with tiny blinking stars in the shadows of the night,
Gathering moonbeams and stardust and any pretty thing in sight.
The old man in the moon chuckled gleefully as she fluttered by,
And blue birds gladly flew by her side in the golden morning sky.
She found my dear true love fast asleep and so softly dreaming,
Then sat on silken pillow soft and watched her peaceful sleeping.
Tender kisses placed on my love's cheek brought a loving smile,
As the breeze fluttered away now her trip had been worthwhile.
