Danny's dead, and so is love

Softly and slowly her tender heart beats
Amidst the cracks from a reckless drop
And the strange memories all locked within
Painted a picture of gloomy love
She peeped from her heart to the world below
In search of a life she could call her own
On petals of red and streets of gold
She took a lonely walk alone

Then a voice called from her thoughts within
With a tender whisper in the stagnant wind
She walked with a shadow yet not with him
With no idea where the petals lead
As she walked within her empty heart
She slowly approached a quiet sea
The with a blend of sadness and a brand-new start
She cast away a diamond ring

And now she's back to face the world
Danny's dead, and so is love.
