Roses on Graves

In the absence of much words to say
I'd scribble just a few
For the chance to speak hardly comes my way
And my words never get to you

A voice tells me you'd never return
As I watch time pass me by
For both wishes and horses have long been gone
And they couldn't give me a ride

The dawn of reality still isn't real
And I hope we'd love again
But a thought of what tomorrow brings
Slowly fills my heart with pain

Now I wipe my tears from time to time
With a humble smile I pretend I'm fine
But wearing smiles on a worried face
Is just as pretty as roses on graves

'¦I still love you
