Times Worth Remembering

Each of you had expressed your love
beneath the starry heavens above.
A gift from His Majesty exposed itself to the unsuspecting dove.
Proud grandmothers and grandfathers layed eyes on the gift's eyes of ocean blue.
The first word had been spoken by the priceless treasure of the ever-changing Jewel of golden hue.
There were birthdays on which it used cake to redecorate your floors and walls.
You sent off your bundle of joy to school even when it begged you with its pathetic high-pitched calls.
You chaperoned class excursions so you wouldn't miss Treasure's most heartwarming smiles.
You expressed your love for Treasure by getting it through its most agonizing trials.
You put aside your wants and needs in order to make Treasure happy.
You listened to Treasure whenever it felt sad, depressed, or just plain crappy.
You've taken steps to make sure Treasure's most vivid dreams come true.
Where would Treasure be today if it hadn't had someone as great as you?
