Basking Eyes

Underneath this yellow light
you have eyes that mimic mine.
Mirrored hue, and shape alike;
I'm looking into a part of me
that is not my own.

We kneel together in this light,
similar in lash and stare.
Close enough to pounce, to reach;
I am on my knees before you,
disarmed and helpless.

I am blinded by the dense light
that hovers between our frames.
A wall to dense for me to break;
You vision does not falter,
your eyes are not mine.

"A wall to<o> dense for me to break;"
