Indigo Dawning

Indigo Dawning

Preface

Earth is changing drastically. We as humans are evolving in many ways. One of the biggest changes taking place is a spiritual battle. Amongst us are religions such as Christianity, Buddhism and Hinduism. These religions have existed for centuries. There are millions of people who follow these faiths.

We are coming into a new era though. The dawning of the Indigo children is upon us. Our planet; Earth, has been blessed with a unique breed. A generation of "go-getter" types that will pave the way to a spiritual revolution. Indigos; with their creative sophistication, will challenge society and spirituality in an effort to bring human evoultion. Our species will become highly sensitive and psychic. We'll learn to enter other dimensions as a way to better our life. Indigos will teach us the way to higher levels of concsiousness; giving us the gift to understand our life's purpose and lead more fulfilling lives.

The battle of this Spiritual Revolution begins with three courageous Indigos; Keru, Chasca and Pisces King, will break the barrier. "New Earth" is put in motion by these highly intuitive teenagers. Each of these divine teens was incarnated with a special assignment. Their quest consists of bringing harmony and balance to our species. Ultimately, they lead us to "heaven on earth".

Bringing about spiritual change certainly isn't going to be easy for these young teens. Repeatedly they are rejected by society, scolded for their beliefs. Other teens in their school think them all crazy. Sadly, these "starchildren" are cast away from society. With no friends, no one to accept them; Keru, Chasca and Pisces King have become close friends. Like other Indigos they retreat inward when they aren't around their own kind. However, spending regular time together has made them each grow powerful. They spend countless days studying numerology, differnt religions, pyschic abilities and the tarot.

For this trio "study time" has deffinetly paid off. Numerous nights of meditation, practice with tarot cards and scrying has lead them to great understandings. Once Chasca had mastered her premenitions she starts recieving bits and pieces nightly. Soon, the puzzle pieces start to fit together. Chasca's dreams shows her a clear vision. She now sees what needs to be done to save humanity. Chasca, Keru and Pisces King are on a mystical journey. Along the way, they will be subject to superficial people, occult phenomena and rejection. The whole shallow human race will be lead to salvation due to the Indigo's risks.

Chapter 1
School has never been easy for Chasca. She always felt bored and out of place at school. To her school was mundane and too repetative. It's not that she didn't want to learn, she loved to learn. Chasca wanted to be all-knowing one day, so she filled her brain with as much knowledge as she could. Being an Indigo made school difficult though. Her intelligence already surpassed most of the other students. It was easy for her to look at a situation and quickly find the answer. Her communication was also outstanding. She could quickly express herself in a harmonious way. When she picked up a pen and paper words fled at great speed. Indeed, she was gifted with great intellect. However, she was also very wise. Even in her young age of sixteen she understood life and the world around her, better then her elders. Some people thought her arrogant for her witty responses and confident knowledge. Fact of the matter; Chasca was blessed with a unique psychological pattern. She was deffinetly wise beyond her years, very intuitive and carried a fiery determination.

As much as she disliked school, it was of course required to attend. With one eye half open she reached for the alarm clock. Frantically her hand reached for the off button. "Great, my first day back at school. Why couldn't summer last forever?" , she thought. Just the thought of dealing with ritual systems and problematic people made her want to vomit. She wasn't looking forward to hearing about who made out with who over the summer or what "big" party she missed. However, she did enjoy analyzing people. As much as she hated hearing stories of the shallow students she was aquainted with, she liked to figure people out. Chasca wanted to know what made them tick, to observe their thought patterns.

Forcing herself out of bed, she walked to her cedar chest. She had layed out her clothes the night before. Even though she wasn't excited about her sophmore year she was prepared. Chasca was a very tidy and organized young lady. At times she, and her parents, thought her too organized. Her obsessive compulsive behavior was sometimes too much for her parents to handle. Of course, all the doctors and psychaiatrists she had seen wanted her to try numerous medications. Sometimes she gave in and would try a few doses to make her parents happy. Chasca could see she didn't have a problem though. Her "extra organized" behavior was due to her advanced thought process. If she ever said that to her parents or the doctors she visted they would just diagnose her with another disorder.

Retreiving her red sweater and blue jeans she headed for the bathroom. Removing her pajamas and climbing into the shower she could feel her stomach tightening. She tried to ignore the feeling and start her day. During the school season she constantly found herself struggling with reality. Somehow she drug herself through each school day, year after year. Relaxing, she calmed her nerves through meditation. As the steam rose and condensation beaded on the mirror she released her worries.
"Dear Gods, Goddesses and spirits of the white light I ask for your stength. Over the course of the day guide me, be my crutch when I am weak and help me to lead myself in the right direction. In return for your strength and guidance I offer my enlightment to others." She repeated her request three times. Each time she exhaled, releasing fear, tension and negative energy. With her inhales she could feel herself strengthening. Her aura was bright, she knew, the spirits were helping her. A simple request and offering were enough to recieve the guidance of the spirits.

This is exactly what annoyed Chasca about the human race. Her, Keru and Pisces King could see how easily it was to access the universes power. It was as simple as believing and asking. Believing was the hard part for most of their nieve peers and elders. How sad it was to see all these people struggling, fighting, living so unhappily. The worst part for the Indigos was knowing that each of these people had everything at their fingertips. Unfortunately, they didn't know how to access it. What was even sadder is that this generation of Indigos posessed the knowledge these people need, but society had brainwashed them into "religious" thought patterns. Yes, the world had come to a point where humans believed "God" or another biblical figure, established our destiny. We only walk the Earth to serve one man? That one man; this "God", he decides my fate? That beliefe system just didn't sit well with the Indigos.

In the eyes of this "starchild" generation we are all equal, we all are entitled to a good, happy life. Also, we each decide our own destiny. Our life is our own, we make it what it is. Not only did the idea not sit right, but these Indigos already had proof. Through their studies with Lord Chrisom they had gained "untouchable" power. They had each seen the bigger picture. Now, their task at hand was helping others to see.

Lord Chrisom had already informed the trio that it would be a struggle. "Our society is already conformed." He had warned them.

However, they all three fought and struggled on a daily basis already. If more upheveal was necessary to save man-kind and allow these children to feel at home then so be it. Their non-conformist ways had already labeled them. With their headstrong ways they charged forward each and every day. Knowing their pain and discomfort would lead to a revoultion, Chasca approached this school day like another battle.

Once showered, she started for the stairway. She approached the stairway, took a deep breath and placed her right foot on the oak step. With each step she took she grew more anxious. She wanted ever so badly, for this day to come and go. On the upside she knew she would be walking to school with Keru and Pisces King. They were her support system. When the world shuttered at her beliefs or degraded her uniqueness those two were always their to pick her up. The support system worked the same way for Keru and Pisces King. These three felt alone in the world, but feeling alone in the world together made it easier.

Entering the kitchen, Chasca's mother was preparing breakfast. The aroma of bacon filled the air. Just as Chasca's taste buds lingered in the aroma... "POP", the toast was done. Her mother assembled their bacon and egg sandwiches then placed the plates on the table. Pivoting on her right foot, Chasca turned and reached for a glass out of the cupboard.

"Chasca, don't forget to take your Zoloft this morning. You know how moody you can be without it." Her mother proclaimed.

Instantly Chasca could feel her blood start to boil. Her face turning red, she bit her lip and kept her mouth shut. Everyday was a battle with her mother. Ever since Dr. Peters had diagnosed her with autism her and her mother lost their closeness. Now, Chasca resented her mother. She felt her own flesh and blood had betrayed her. Her mom was striping her of her individuality, her very existence.

Quickly she poured a glass of orange juice and seated herself at the table. With her mom directly acrossed from her, Chasca avoided any eye contact. Instead, she peered at her plate, lifted her sandwich and began to eat. At this point she couldn't even enjoy her breakfast. Her hyperactive mind was already replaying the comments from her mom. Every detail of the comment was being analyzed, deciphered, disassembled and reassembled. Chasca was recalling the tone her mom used, her word choices even the pauses in between the words. All this broke down to a detailed meaning for Chasca. She already had razor sharp intuition, but with her analytical mind; Chasca was always two steps ahead.

Finishing her last bite, Chasca rose from the table and placed her plate in the sink. She walked through the corridor and into the half bath. She quickly brushed her teeth. While replacing the toothbrush she eyed the bottle of Zoloft. Reluctantly she removed it from the medecine chest. After opening the bottle she poured one pill into her hand. She stared at it a moment the shoved it in her jean pocket.

Yelling "Goodbye", she headed out the front door and down the driveway. Running a few minutes behind, she walked across the street to Keru's house. There she met up with Keru and Pisces King.

Thank you for your input. This is my first attempt at writing a novel. I know this one is going to take some time to get right though. It's a touchy subject already and I when you add that with their "frankly-pompous and self-righteous" characters a lot of people may not like it. Once again, thanx for your opinion and I do agree with you ;)

Certainly an interesting idea, very intriguing and unusual, in fact, but this story is very, very cold. The preface feels a little bit too much like like the back cover of a book, and the character with which you start, Chasca, is completely unsympathetic. I would suggest, to make this piece more inviting and easier for your readers to connect with, making each section which concerns a character first person. If we can feel the events as the characters, get inside their heads a little more, they won't seem like the-frankly-pompous and self-righteous little jerks that they do right now. Try it, as an experiment (unless you already had and it didn't work, then ignore me . . . or ignore me in general. Feel free to do either.) and see if it helps.
Hope to see more of this, and I really love the title.
