Me and my connections
ME & MY CONNECTIONS
We are all connected together
Like a strand of silk woven
Into a blanket of heather
Which is warm in winter
Which warms the old ladies lap
When she is too frail and weak
To sit up and speak
When I come to her house and help her
Put the blanket right and wrap
Her in it, oh, she loves it
All that attention and she loves me
People come and go
People say hello
We know each other from sight
But when we introduce each other
I know that individual is like no other
When I tell them my name
It is like as thou I have rung a bell of fame
And they say 'oh, Louise, is that your name
That sounds as sweet as honey
When you pronounce it, it flows
Like the gentle waters of a calm river
That the moonlight glows
Upon it in the dark'
Every girl and boy up the street
Waves and says hello
When I meet them at the shop
Will chatter happily to me
As I give them the money
To pay for everything I use and don't
Oh sometimes I wish that would stop
As I work my butt off to the beat
Of the music in my head
To earn everything I own or not
Just to pay for that awful lot
When I'd much rather
Go to beat the bush with my father
And my family
And laze about and watch the birds sing
And the trees grow and draw all those funny things
That I see happen and enjoy the surroundings
Because in the end that's where I belong
With Mother Nature
And not in an office
Where everything hates you
Where you hate your work
Because you can't be you
Artist, oh, imagination
Yes, I have both, but have no time for either
To sit there and put my imagination to paper as motion
Even as a drawing with neither
Motion or stillness
But to show the dreadfulness
This world can be
Where the almighty can see
The Lord I mean
Can try to teach me through the good things
And through the bad things
How awful and mean
This terrible devil of ours can be
Whether I like it or not
I don't complain because I know there is a lot
Of other people worse off than me
And worse happening that I know
That aren't being given a chance
To work so they may eat
But all they can feel is hunger and defeat.
THE END

| yes I actually do know of that old song, every little breeze seems to whisper louise. A friend of my parents sings that part of it just about every time he sees me! |

| yes, how false we can be, while doing something really good, we complain inwardly, this is good poem, very accurate, and a good flow, and useof words. Thanks for the read... |
