i left fingerprints all over you at the crime seen
touched lips to a secret you spoke into my mouth
cupped a heartbeat that threatened to run from your breast
i know that the heat is a sun set glowing in your soul
the stilled time about us has lost momentum
the held breath is the logic for the rest of our lives
i will tell you of the scars forgetting buried
just so you know that you have healed me completely
the soft seduction of your whispers is a bed of embers
you and i together are the phoenix everyone remembers
