3 Queen Square, Bloomsbury

Rather than this I might have chosen
Open roads northwards climbing,
Weather-worn low crofts abandoned,
Esha Ness, Sumburgh, Unst, Voe, Wick and Yell.
Now this far world in time forgotten
Answers my entreaties.

A night I remember I spent
Listening for I did not dare to speak,
Lying for I was weak.
Everything amber I praised with you,
Never knowing the sun would rise.

Beautiful write.

The acrostic almost went unnoticed because it never intruded on the flow or content, which in my opinion is the way an acrostic should be.

Gorgeous and interesting word choices. Bookshelved.
