Smoldering Eyes

Smoldering eyes
Occupied by tears
As your blade extends
Cutting love
As cutting roses by sheers
Tis but a night
Over the stretch of years
Yet, a wicked night
When smoldering eyes
Flutter at fear
Fear of rejection
The fear of his steer
Driving rage in her direction
Struggles to stay clear
Or suffer penetration
From his sharp lips
Which once caressed her's
And licked her soft, white lips
Smoldering eyes
Shivered so sincere
Wondering why
His love would not appear
For this before her
Was demonic with a spear
Smoldering eyes
Stood and peered
Longing for that man;
The one she called "Dear"

An alarming feel with the image of total trust being betrayed, and being attacked. Wonderfully written. Felt horror and grief.

I'm new to this, but this seems so sad, but in a good expressive way.

Love lost?

Nice Read
