Fortune Untold

Stories of might, stories of old,
He was raised, on tales of lore
Kill the beast, survive the storm
Savour riches of fortunes untold

Time set sail to unknown shores
He soon was caught,
In daily monotone,
With pins and needles weapons of shame,
The warrior in him fought a deadly game,

Some friend or foe did recite in tone,
That the battle was not for the average Joe,
And so plunged he in anxiety,
For the soldier believed,
All was not as it seemed,

Soon did he leave them clones
And found himself rather all alone,
Then a partner, he did seek,
To battle belief, a baneful deed
The apostate now, battled society,

Younglings then did he seed,
And taught them stories of valor indeed,
To the grand old man now it did not seem,
That the story of life is a merry wheel,

The stone now stands in glorious pride,
And proclaims that here did lie,
A man who fought and died in try,

This is the story of passion untold
The story of might, the story of old

Manu, that was really good. I admire your sense of imagination and the flow of the verse.

I love these epic poems. Very fun, though a few of the rhymes are a bit painful-"Average Joe" almost ruined the tone of this for me. I'd love to see this made into a story.
