jaded

every night I sleep
I wish that tomorrow
is a different day
that I can walk on
without looking back
no chains to tie me
no dreams under my feet

But when I wake up
I'm in the same dream
chaotic suffocation
where I see the same people
to smile the same smile
and among the many trees
I'm still just one jaded leaf

This fits perfectly into so many feelings I myself experience all the time. I've never seen it put down so eloquently. Astounding!
