Closed Mind Open Mouthed
Eyes wide open
Arms at sides
Asks a question, interrupts me twice
Eyes look away
Asks it again
Doesn't listen, annoying vice
"I don't get it"
"Don't understand you!"
Before my answering words could suffice
Eyes with tear sheen
Interrupting, blurting
Frustration wins, I need ice
Talking, stalling, very nervous,
This one"s willing never to listen
Mouth open, mind closed, no dice

| Hi! Actually it was in about of a teen who asked me a question then before I could say more than a few words she interrupted with "I don't get it!!!!" Then I tried again and she jumped in again before I could finish. It's for those who want an explaination, an answer, but are too impatient or fearful or close-minded to hear AND listen. Like "la la la la..I don't hear mommy..la la la..." I think she actually believed she wouldn't understand even before she asked the question. A kind of needing to know, but afraid. But, thank you so much for the comments. It could easily intrepret on the other foot so to speak and be quite ok with me! Thanks! |

I think we all know people like the one you've described. Drives you crazy, doesn't it? I love how you don't make it clear if it's a boss, husband, child, parent, etc. It could fit anyone. :) |

I know people like this, don't we all. I also know people who give very long winded answers to questions and not being prepared to listen for that long I may become a version of this nightmare person. It takes an honest person to admit something like that. Praise me now. ;)
