Love is a Cold and Broken Hallelujah
Embraced by blue and black roses
(in the funeral shroud)
Love is dying, dying,
It's a cold
(and it's a broken)
Hallelujah, hallelujah,
(And can someone give me an amen?)
It's a cold
(and it's a broken)
Hallelujah,
It's dying, it's dying,
Too fast to save, you know,
Too slow to forget,
And I hear the crack
of some broken Hallelujah.
Embraced by blue and black roses
(in the funeral shroud)
Love is dying, dying,
It's a cold
(and it's a broken)
Hallelujah, hallelujah,
(And can someone give me an amen?)
It's a blackened world,
Where each heart turns to stone,
Blood is taken from living veins,
And, deep in the darkness,
You can hear
(hallelujah)
You can hear
(amen).
Embraced by blue and black roses
(in the funeral shroud)
Love is dying, dying,
It's a cold
(and it's a broken)
Hallelujah, hallelujah,
(And can someone give me an amen?)
It's travelled across foreign lands,
Finally come to rest,
Wrapped in thorns, bloody roses,
And you know what the choir will sing?
At this funeral of the worlds?
Loud, across the endless cosmos,
Why, they'll sing their cold, their broken,
Hallelujah, hallelujah, hallelujah.
Embraced by blue and black roses
(in the funeral shroud)
Love is dying, dying,
It's a cold
(and it's a broken)
Hallelujah, hallelujah,
(And can someone give me an amen?)
Sing, sing hallelujah, (give me amen), sing a cold and broken Hallelujah and wait for the world to end ....
