Just Like Me
So glad to see you,
It's been a long while.
I see your glad to see me,
It's in your smile.
So I was wondering,
Well, I got to know,
Are you lonely?
Just Like Me.
I often wonder why,
We let our good love slide,
away from us,
we threw it, under the bus.
So I was wondering,
Well, I got to know,
Are you lonely?
Just like me.
Our road to nowhere,
Looks like we got there,
On a slow train, such a damn shame,
We didn't take the time to realize it.
So I got to know,
Are you lonely?
Just like me.
So hold me, hold me,
Would you hold me, just hold me.
I want to thank you ,
Now I'll let you go,
One more time.
So hold me, hold me,
Won't you hold me, hold me.
I want to thank you girl,
Now I'll let you go....
Goodbye.

| Scott I think this will go great on a radio station. They should start playing your work instead of overplaying whats out there now. |

| This made me sigh and hug a chicken close. It's very beautiful and lyrical. I was singing it while I was straining the cheese, you know how that goes. I really like the end, but it made me sad. It's very lonely song. I hope you never have to say goodbye to her again. bye Doris |

"I often wonder why,

Great Great Great verse. I wonder the same thing all the time and yes, don't we throw it under the bus, the everything? The Everything somehow becomes so much more important than The Important Thing. And isn't that more than ironic, too much to bear? Love this. Love you! xoxo L |

| hello Scott, how are you? you know, I don't know if I ever mentioned this before, but I've never been a fan of country music. when i started reading your work, however, it now makes me really appreciate and enjoy the words and the feeling the pieces give me. i can honestly say, that music like this really touches the heart and makes me think about love and life and why simple words have such deep impact on the soul and how we carry on with day to life. beautiful song and poem. :-) Bon xo |
