Why do you have to be like that?
Smile at me one second,
The next you're twisting the knife into my heart.
You're like a serial killer, showing no emotion
The alcohol gives you your mask
The drugs give you your weapon
Why do you have to be like that?
Shattering dreams and torturing me with your hurt
When you drink I want to hide
For when you do
That serial killer comes out to attack me
The serial killer inside of you smiles
As it twists the knife harder into my heart
Your mission is simple
To make me fall apart. I beg my mother not to go
But she's deaf for I always end up going
After the serial killer is done it begins to cry for me as I gasp for air
I feel the crimson regret pour out of me as I lay there
On the cold, hard, floor
A pool of red forms around me
And your tears fall to the floor
Just like my dreams
Your twisted ways did this!
Then when I am rescued from you, my angel saving me from your twisted mind
Given a second chance to make things right
But it doesn't matter what I do
For you'll never change
I'll always have to go back to that serial killer
And have the knife twisted in my heart once again
Why are you like that?
