the cancer backwaters of breakdown code
where the rust flowers bleed into the fields
and crows pick meat from the pointing bone
that is where we drink blood mixed with ashtray leavings
we leant against the mildewed walls of collapse
and licked the gravestones clean of names
because we wanted nothing left for the photo hungry
we walked ten days out of the era of blueprint
arriving in the postscript dragging foetal anchors
our tattered wings are autumn leaves escape burns
house of card daydreams and domino causality behind us
stand ready to learn their fingertips in a push
i'll turn myself inside out in an aniseed moment
and share my disease with a congregation of open wounds
